The Blue Angels were on Saturday and although they ended up canceling, that didn't stop the party. G and I hosted brunch at our new apartment for our friends before all the festivities.

She made these: These are popovers made from the Neiman Marcus recipe (!)...so good. She also whipped up some berry butter to go with them...just preserves mixed with butter...so easy to do, yet makes it that much more special.

I made:Spanish Tortilla with Kale from this recipe on Fresh 365. I added some cheese on top which the recipe didn't call for, but was a good touch. It was definitely a big hit, every slice quickly disappeared.

The full spread: We obviously had plenty of mimosas and bloody mary's on hand to wash it all down...looking forward to hosting many more!
