The other week N and I had plans to try SPQR on Fillmore. It's a Roman inspired restaurant that I have always heard great things about and is run by the same owners as the ever popular A16. We started the night off with some of this.... A vintage bottle of Dom with a set of crystal glasses that my old managers had gotten me when I was promoted this year. It was a pretty great way to start the night needless to say. At SPQR, we had the corn fritters drizzled in honey and some off menu (because that's how we roll) little peppers to start that were both delicious. I wish I could have a few of those fritters in my purse at all times.
For dinner, I had this garlicky pasta with clams and he had the lasagna. We left very happy.

I heard there's a new chef there now too so even if you've been before it's time to go again.
