Upset the 1976 Paris Tasting with their 1973 Chardonnay and put California wine on the map. Recently portrayed in the movie Bottle Shock. They were actually a bit snobby to be honest, but winning will do that to ya sometimes.
Tony's Pizza, San Francisco, California
Won best Magherita Pizza at the World Pizza Cup in 2007 in Naples, Italy and limits this pizza to 73 served per day. By far my favorite pizza in the city, nay, perhaps my favorite in the world. I really can say that too... I've done the research.

Wow it looks so beautiful. I've lived in CA my whole life and never heard of Calistoga. Must be in the Sonoma/Napa or Central Coast region somewhere?
